The fastest way: inside the app
If you still have access to your Muscle Guard account on your phone:
- Open the Muscle Guard app.
- Go to the Profile tab.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- You will be asked to confirm twice. After the second confirmation, your account is deleted irreversibly.
If you've lost access to the app
If you can no longer sign in (forgot password, deleted the app, lost your phone, etc.) and want your account deleted, email us:
Email us from the address linked to your Muscle Guard account so we can verify ownership. We will complete the deletion within 7 days and confirm by email when it's done.
What gets deleted
When your account is deleted, the following is permanently removed from our servers:
- Your account profile (name, email, date of birth, sex, height, starting weight, medication selection).
- All daily logging history — weight, body measurements, mood, symptoms, food entries, water intake, workouts, injection records, tablet records.
- All progress photos you uploaded.
- Your avatar photo.
- Your Firebase Authentication credentials.
- Your RevenueCat subscription record (your subscription itself is cancelled separately via your Apple ID or Google Play account — we cannot cancel a subscription from our side).
What we may retain (briefly)
Standard Google Cloud service logs may briefly retain anonymised technical records (IP addresses, error traces) for security and operations purposes. These cannot be linked back to you after account deletion, and follow Google Cloud's standard retention policy. We do not access or use these logs after deletion.
About your subscription
If you have an active Pro subscription, deleting your Muscle Guard account does not automatically cancel your App Store or Google Play subscription. You should cancel it separately:
- iPhone: Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions → Muscle Guard → Cancel.
- Android: Google Play app → your profile picture → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Muscle Guard → Cancel.
Cancelling the subscription stops future billing. Refunds are handled by Apple or Google according to their own policies.
